プラネタリー・ヘルス・アライアンスとジャパン・ハブが共催する「プラネタリー・ヘルス年次総会2027」は、6月7日から11日まで東京大学で開催されます。  

プラネタリーヘルス Planetary Healthは、「地球の健康と人間の健康は切り離せないものであり、相互に依存し合っている」という考え方のもと、地球環境と生命活動との相互作用、具体的には気候変動や環境破壊といった地球規模の課題と私たちの健康との関係（どのような影響があるのか？）を捉え、持続可能な未来を目指す取り組みです。

2015年、イギリスの著名な医学雑誌「Lancet」とロックフェラー財団によって提唱され、2016年に発足したプラネタリーヘルス・アライアンス（PHA）として、地球環境の変化が人間の健康に与える影響を軽減し、持続可能な社会を目指すために世界的な超学際的ネットワークが活動をしています。

日本では日本医療政策気候（HFPI）、プラネタリーヘルスアライアンス日本ハブを中心となって、活動を展開しています。  

本学で開講する「グローバルヘルスプログラム Global Health Program」では、地球規模で生活と健康に関心を持ち、国や地域を越えて自然と健康、社会政策と健康、ジェンダーと健康など、具体的な実践的な解決策を考えます。

いずれも地球規模の視野をもち、健康との関連を捉えて取り組む点を共有する、学際的なアプローチを重要視する学問領域です。  

2027年年次総会では、世界におけるプラネタリーヘルスの研究・政策・実践を知り、国内外の研究者・実務家と交流することができる重要な機会になると思われます。

The ‘Planetary Health Annual Conference 2027’, co-organised by the Planetary Health Alliance and Japan Hub, will be held at the University of Tokyo from 7 to 11 June.

Planetary Health is an initiative aimed at achieving a sustainable future, based on the principle that ‘the health of the Earth and human health are inseparable and mutually dependent’. It examines the interaction between the global environment and human life—specifically, the relationship between global-scale challenges such as climate change and environmental degradation and our health (what impact do they have?)—with a view to securing a sustainable future.
The ‘Global Health Programme’ offered at our university encourages students to take a global perspective on life and health, and to devise concrete, practical solutions that transcend national and regional boundaries, covering areas such as nature and health, social policy and health, and gender and health.
These are academic fields that share a focus on adopting a global perspective and addressing issues through an interdisciplinary approach, with a particular emphasis on understanding the connections to health.

Proposed in 2015 by the renowned British medical journal *The Lancet* and the Rockefeller Foundation, and launched in 2016 as the Planetary Health Alliance (PHA), this global, transdisciplinary network is working to mitigate the impact of changes to the global environment on human health and to achieve a sustainable society.
In Japan, activities are being led by the Health and Climate Policy Institute (HFPI) and the Planetary Health Alliance Japan Hub.

The 2027 Annual General Meeting is expected to provide a valuable opportunity to learn about planetary health research, policy and practice around the world, and to network with researchers and practitioners from Japan and abroad.

We are also currently accepting abstract submissions. The deadline is 14 September.
